are single vineyard, grown sustainably and produced on estate at Church Bay (**Hangaura) Waiheke island. We aim to hand craft top quality varietals to obtain the purest expression of a single grape variety in our terroir using careful soil maintenance with regular soil tests and organic mulches and intensive canopy management with bud reduction, shoot thinning and leaf plucking.
Our red wines are made from selected hand-picked ripe grapes, fermented in small hand-plunged batches, matured with French and American oak and bottle-aged before release. Our full-bodied Syrah shows classic cool climate characters of dark fruit, liquorice and white pepper with long silky- smooth tannins. The pure Cabernet Franc is easy drinking with raspberries, violets, lavender and dark chocolate. The intense purple Italian grape Montepulciano has massive sweet berry fruit, cassis and long grainy tannins making it a great food wine.
Our white or ‘blush’ Pinot Grigio is made from 100% Pinot Gris fruit in the dry minerally Italian style with nuances of apple , citrus and nashi pear. You need to be quick to obtain a case as this and our Syrah Rose – packed with cherries and spice – sell out very rapidly – even before they are bottled!
